At NotNow, we believe that your thoughts belong to you. That is why the app was designed to work primarily without sending your personal data over the Internet.

Important: this policy is written in good faith to explain how the app currently works. I am not a lawyer. It may be updated to remain compliant with applicable regulations and future changes to NotNow.

The thoughts you capture

All thoughts you record in NotNow are stored only on your phone. They are not sent to my servers, and I cannot access them. Whether it is an idea, an action, a note to review later, or an archived item, its content remains on your device.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

To improve the stability of the app, NotNow uses Firebase Crashlytics. If the app crashes, a technical report may be sent automatically to help identify and fix the problem. These reports may contain: your device model, Android version, NotNow version, and technical information about the crash. The content of your thoughts is not included in these reports.

Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics)

NotNow may use Firebase Analytics to better understand how the app is used and improve it. This feature is disabled by default. You are free to enable or disable it in the app Settings, and you can change your mind at any time. These statistics are used solely to improve NotNow — the content of your thoughts is never used for this purpose.

Voice recognition

NotNow may use the voice recognition provided by your phone to make it easier to capture a thought. When your device supports local voice recognition, processing takes place directly on your phone. NotNow does not record your voice or transmit your audio recordings to its own servers.

Cloud synchronization

At this time, NotNow does not offer cloud synchronization. All your thoughts remain stored locally on your device. If a synchronization feature is added in a future version, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.

Your rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, including the GDPR, you have several rights regarding your personal data: you may request information about any data that may be processed, request its deletion, and withdraw your consent to usage statistics by disabling this option in the Settings.
